Technology Asset Recovery Services (“TARS”) are programs designed for companies that want to maximize the return on their excess or obsolete equipment.  We offer a variety of services depending on your long term or short term needs.  We can also easily change programs as your needs change. 

These programs are designed to allow select clientele to leverage our expertise and experience, essentially outsourcing their asset value recovery efforts.  We put our experienced, international sales team to work scouring the world to match available equipment with eager buyers.

Atlantix offers two types of Technology Asset Recovery Services, which are available separately or in combination:

 - Equipment Consignment
 - Current Value Realization

Our Equipment Consignment program provides a way to maximize your recovery while minimizing your expenses and simplifying your processes.  Some customers are interested in the biggest return on their excess equipment, and are willing to trade an immediate sale for potentially higher returns.

Atlantix offers our consignment services for this group.  We will accept shipment of your consigned equipment; we will perform a complete inventory and audit and provide you with a report of our findings.  We will then test the equipment and if it is up to our standards, we will place it into our inventory and offer it for sale alongside our own inventory.  All of this at no initial cost to you.

Each month, we will send you a report detailing what equipment was sold and for what price.  We will also send you a check for your portion of the proceeds.  The costs of warehousing, testing, refurbishing, packing and shipping are borne from our share of the proceeds, so your accounting is simplified.  

Customers who need to quickly close out their position in excess equipment can take advantage of our Current Value Realization program.  If you prefer to receive all your proceeds right away, we can simply purchase your excess equipment from you at current market prices.  Since we have so many avenues through which to sell equipment, we can usually offer the most competitive purchase prices. 

The process could not be simpler.  Once the equipment is received and audited, we can issue you a check within a few days and you are done.  You have eliminated any ongoing storage charges you might have been incurring and you have removed the risk of declining value by locking in today’s prices.

Perhaps you have some equipment such as memory or disk drives where you are concerned about declining market prices, while you have some equipment such as servers where you need to get your maximum return.  We can offer a hybrid solution where we purchase the disk and memory today, guaranteeing your return, and place your servers into the consignment program. 

Program Costs and Benefits

There is no up-front cost to enroll in any of the Atlantix Technology Asset Recovery Services programs.  Consignment program participants pay for shipping their equipment to Atlantix and are paid for their equipment after it is sold.  However, they may obtain a higher return in exchange for their patience, and they know that their payment is based on the actual sale price rather than an estimated market value.

Value Realization customers pay for shipping their equipment to Atlantix, and they receive the payment for their equipment within a few days, at fair, mutually agreeable prices based on Atlantix’s extensive experience and knowledge of the marketplace. 

Perhaps the most important benefit, though, is not specifically financial:  the preservation of business focus.  Our customers are often global leaders in their own fields, just as Atlantix is in ours.  The TARS programs free our customers from the need to shift attention away from their core business efforts.  Engaging with Atlantix allows each customer to shift their attention back to where it does the most good — their core business — and takes advantage of Atlantix’s own focus on our core business.  The result is greater effectiveness and opportunity for our customers, and greater profits for us both.
